Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A device of gold color metal and enamel 1 3/16 inches (3.02cm) in height overall consisting of a buff pile strewn with black droplets between two gold keys forming a "V" their bows conjoined at base and charged with a Taeguk all on a light blue inverted triangle rounded at base; on a black motto scroll attached below and at the sides the words "FUEL LINE TO VICTORY" in gold letters.

Symbolism
Buff and light blue are the colors associated with the Quartermaster Corps. The keys are also a traditional symbol representing Quartermaster control over supplies. The Taeguk represents Korea, the unit's home area, and the buff with black droplets alludes to the motto and unit's mission, the movement of fuels.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 9 Nov 1984.
